Tesla Powerwall Certified Installer

Yes Solar Solutions is a Tesla Certified Powerwall Installer

UPDATE:  August 2017, Tesla Powerwalls have arrived in NC.

Options to prevent or manage power outages are developing every day. When the power goes out, not only do the lights go off, but the refrigerator stops running, jeopardizing hundreds of dollars of food. Plus, cell phones and laptops can’t be charged, and even more critical, medical equipment that people depend on might not work. Yes Solar Solutions offers battery back up options for our solar systems that can handle critical loads like the refrigerator, microwave, well pump, and lights in several rooms. As a Tesla Powerwall certified installer, Yes Solar has a battery back up system in our own building, along with 9 kW of rooftop solar that backs up our server and lights. We’re here to deliver and install your Tesla Powerwall system at your home to help you avoid losing power and pay less for the electricity you use.

Yes Solar is now a Telsa Energy Certified Installer of the Powerwall

Yes Solar Solutions is proud to be one of the first companies in North and South Carolina to become a certified installer of the outstanding new Tesla Powerwall home battery backup system.

About the Tesla Powerwall Home Battery

The Tesla Powerwall is a home battery that charges itself automatically using electricity generated from solar panels, or when utility rates are low. The low-cost electricity is used to power your home in the evening, when electricity from the grid is more expensive. A Powerwall will also fortify your home against power outages by providing a backup electricity supply. Automated, compact, and simple-to-install, the Powerwall offers greater independence from the utility grid and the security of an emergency backup in the event of an outage.

Beautifully Functional

Current-generation home batteries are bulky, expensive to install, and expensive to maintain. In contrast, the Tesla Powerwall’s lithium ion battery uses Tesla’s proven automotive battery technology to power your home safely and economically. Powerwalls come as standard with a computerized control system, making them completely automated and ready to deliver less-expensive electricity when rates are high or backup electricity during grid power outages.

How it Works

A typical Tesla Powerwall system includes solar panels, an inverter for converting electricity between direct current and alternating current, a meter for measuring battery charge, and in backup applications, a secondary circuit that powers key appliances. Which components are required for your specific Powerwall system will depend on how you plan to use your home battery.

Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity that charges Powerwall and powers your home during the day. Without solar, Powerwall can reduce time-of-use power bills by strategically shifting energy consumption. This means charging when electricity is cheapest and enabling you to use that cheaper electricity when utility rates are high, such as in the evenings.

The inverter converts direct-current (DC) electricity from solar panels and the Powerwall into the alternating current (AC) used by your home’s lights, appliances, and other plugin electrical devices. All Powerwall installations require a compatible inverter. To maximize solar consumption, a meter is also installed to measure solar production and home energy use.

Powerwall Capacity

Each Powerwall has a 14 kWh energy-storage capacity, sufficient to power most homes during the evening using electricity generated by solar panels during the day. Multiple batteries may be installed together for homes with greater energy needs.
