The second Solarize Durham Information Session has been announced by NC WARN. It will be held Thursday February 27, at the Jewish Community Center at 1937 West Cornwallis Rd. in Durham at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is free and the public is invited. The presentation will include information from the non-profit NC WARN, the Solarize Durham sponsor, about the environmental need for solar and the grass roots solar program. Yes Solar Solutions, the designated solar installer for Solarize Durham, will be presenting information about the tax credits, installation process and explain the tiered pricing and payback.
Solarize pricing starts with a low Tier One price that takes advantage of bulk pricing, proximity of installations, and the reduced marketing cost realized by the community doing much of the promotion and advocacy. As homeowners sign up for installations, the price for all program participants goes down as the kilowatts installed go up. It is a limited enrollment time, encouraging sign ups to make it a timely process.
